Ourfit is a peer-to-peer platform where anyone can hire outfits or earn from their wardrobe.
Nine years in the making
It started with one dress
The spark
It was Year 12, and I'd just worn my formal dress. People kept asking where it was from, so on a whim, I posted it on Facebook Marketplace for hire.
I had no idea if anyone would actually hire it.
It ended up being hired five times.
At 17, without realising it, I'd stumbled into something: people want easy access to great outfits - however they get them.
The idea that wouldn't leave
That sparked an idea to buy more dresses. I came up with a name - Herr Apparel - created an Instagram, designed a logo, started planning inventory. But life got busy and I never launched it.
In 2021, I picked the idea back up. Built spreadsheets. Figured out the costs. Started planning again.
Then I started my dream role in tech and poured all my focus into that.
The idea, though, never left.
The evolution
I've always wanted to reshape an industry. To shift how people think about something. To take a model and rebuild it better.
During long drives between my hometown and Sydney, I kept coming back to that original experience. Not just hiring a dress - but how natural it felt. How easy. How logical.
But this time, the idea evolved.
What if instead of building a single hire business, I built the infrastructure for the industry? What if hiring clothes wasn't niche - but normal?
That's when Ourfit was born.
A platform built to make hiring as easy as buying. To let anyone earn from pieces they already own.
